Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade

 The Annual MLK Day Parade will take place January 20, 2020, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11:30 AM. Check-in and line-up will begin at 10 AM. The parade is sponsored by Bridging the Gap of Arkansas.

 

Run the Line Half Marathon

The Run the Line Half Marathon is a unique opportunity to run in one half marathon in Texas and Arkansas on a USATF certified (#AR09010DLP) single-loop course! The race starts at Broad and Main Streets in downtown Texarkana, TX and finishes in Texarkana, AR. The course includes two park asphalt trails and residential neighborhoods on city streets. The finish line is downtown at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House about 4 blocks from the start.

8th Annual Mardi Gras Parade

Texarkana's Mardi Gras celebration will be here Feb. 22nd. Enjoy costume contests, parades, food, entertainment, beads and more during this 7th annual celebration in Front Street Festival Plaza in downtown Texarkana. The festivities will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 22 with a 5K run sponsored by The Sportsplex, Brooke Stone of HealthCARE Express stated in a press release. For more information, visit http://arkansas.txkusa.org/.
